Issues and Challenges for Applied Mathematics and Mathematics Education in Digital Era


Indonesian education system demands changes due to the dynamic challenges in human resources as the effect of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Graduates are expected to be more competitive. As a result, the curriculum set into contemporary literacies: Data Literacy comprises the ability to read and analyze, Technology Literacy comprises the ability to apply technology, and Human Literacy aims at creating humanists who can communicate well.  This recent education system requires professionals who create innovation based on research information. This notion calls for new perspective converting challenges into opportunities. In view of that, the Mathematics Education Study Program of IKIP Siliwangi together with I-MES invites researchers, practitioners, educators to participate in and contribute to the seminar under the theme “Issues and Challenges for Applied Mathematics and Mathematics Education in Digital Era.”


The 2nd ISAMME 2020 is an international conference held by the mathematics education department of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung together with I-MES. This conference has objectives to expand mathematics contribution to the society, to improve mathematics teaching, and to solve mathematics problems. Publication and Indexing

We plan to submit all selected papers of the 2nd International Seminar on Applied Mathematics and Mathematics Education (ISAMME) 2020 to the Open Access Publisher namely IOP Conference Series: Journal of Physics which normally will be indexed by Conference Proceedings Citation Index-Science (CPCI-S) Thomson Reuters, Web of Science, EI Compendex, and SCOPUS SciVerse. All papers published in IOP Conference Series are fully citable and upon publication will be free to download in perpetuity.

PUBLICATION LICENCE FOR OPEN ACCESS PROCEEDINGS PAPERS. IOP Conference Series operates a publishing license, under which authors retain the copyright of their papers and they no longer need to sign and submit copyright assignment forms. Any author who wishes to publish in IOP Conference Series must agree to the terms of the license and by submitting a paper for publication it is assumed all authors of the paper agree, in full, to the terms of the license.
